Because we are set up for bulk production we do not print single mats in any size/shape without a paid minimum order.
We can create just about any size/shape pad you can think of. If it is a size/shape we have not as of yet created then a new die set up will be needed. Die set ups usually range from $120-250 (depending on size and shape) and are a one time fee as they will be used for all future orders. Orders requiring new die set ups will have higher required minimums then standard sizes as they will have to be cut to order. Also new die set ups may add an extra 4 +/- days to production time. With that being said we do have many set ups already created that are not necessarily mentioned on our website. When submitting a request for an off size please indicate if size is critical or something close to target size would work to help you avoid a set up fee.
We recommend giving us a little under 1 month total turn time including shipping (within contiguous US & Canada) whenever possible for mats with custom shapes/sizes that are less then 1500 units. More then 1500 may take an extra 4-5 days production time. If you ever have a target deadline or hard in hand date please let us know, we always do our best to accommodate deadlines for special events.
We gain efficiency and are able to give better pricing the more we print of same image. New images (even if difference is something as minor as a single digit or color) will require a new set up both for graphics dept and for production and efficiency is lost. For this reason images are priced separately.
Dye sublimation print process used for fabric mats applies high temperatures to material with natural open cell rubber backing which can cause mat to expand/shrink during printing. The expansion/shrinkage is not always uniform. Also the printing of fabric mats is a manual process and while production does their best to print as accurately as possible some minor shifting can occur during production. If images on "tiles" need to line up to adjoining "tile" exactly then shifting and shrinkage/expansion could be a concern. You are always welcome to send us your artwork to review. We are happy to make suggestions and recommendations to ensure best results.
Our standard mats have a rounded corner radius which helps to prevent fabric material from fraying over time. While straight corners can be made with a custom die they may allow material to fray faster then would a rounded corner.
